Transport

Well, bike sold on eBay to a nice enough chap who managed to get it through mot first time with no work - typical.  hey ho!

Having said that, I had a call from the police a couple of days later as the bike had been blocking a fire engine access and the records at DVLA had no been updated.  Still, all sorted in the end.

Further to last entry - bike is on eBay and hopefully will go soon.

I have nabbed a very nice Audi A4 diesel which is very nice and very economical, so transport situation resolved.

Credit Crunch

Well, with the credit crunch biting ever deeper, I am reviewing transport arrangements.  Whereas it has been great to be back on the bike, it has not been used as much as I would like and so I have a plan.  I will be getting a new (more economical) car than the Merc and using that for work and the bike will, sadly, have to go.

Hey ho, one day I will get a bike purely because I want to, rather than as a mode of transport.

Bike update

Well, yes it is nice to be on the bike again.  I bought the Honda 450, which, apparently is quite a rare DX model, similar to the 450N.  It is not a racer, by any means, more of a plodder.

Last week my car threw the exhaust just a couple days befor eit was booked in for MOT.  It was towed to the local garage (and is still there now!) and I have been on the bike ever since.  it was superb last Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning, until the thunder and light...

I must say, I am looking forward to getting another motorbike again.  The last one I had was a Kawasaki ZZR1100 which was a beast and so much fun.  I am looking at a Honda CB450 soon and this might be the one to help me get back into biking - watch this space.

The Crocs

Well, I found out the other day that we are not 'The Crocks' (implying old men!) but 'The Crocs' for reasons that have not adequately been explained but something to do with taking a large plastic crocodile on stage.

Sorry, the explanation is even more confusing, isn't it?

However, I really enjoy playing with this band as we do some more modern stuff, maybe not stuff I would listen to, except in the bath or in the dark when no-one was around and some good old stuff such as Hey...

I actually quite like this venue.  It is a bit of a long wayto go but when you are there, the audience are mental.  they love to dance and their average age is probably about 60.  They also love it loud!

Sadly, the recording I made at this gig is of too poor quality to upload but I will try again next gig (Stuart Road Social Club)
